| * For May, 2A numbers EXEMPT from per-country limit are available
to applicants from all countries with priority dates earlier than 01OCT95. 2A numbers SUBJECT to per-country
limit are available to applicants chargeable to all countries EXCEPT MEXICO with priority dates beginning 01OCT95
and earlier than 15MAR98. (All 2A numbers provided for MEXICO are exempt from the per-country limit; there are
no 2A numbers for MEXICO subject to per-country limit.) |
How to use this information: For each chargeability area the left hand
column shows the priority dates that are current. Any
priority date before the one shown is eligible to receive an immigrant
visa in that category; the right-hand column shows the number of
days that it took the priority date to become current. The
number of days required to become current is the approximate number of
days that a beneficiary should expect to wait to become eligible to
receive an immigrant visa in that category.
